(European Chemicals Regulations for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals)
According to the Reach Regulation, the fibre products which are part of our product range and are produced in the form of staple fibres, milled fibres or fibrids, are articles. They do not contain any substances which are intentionally released under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. Therefore, there exists no registration requirement for substances in articles in the sense of Article 7.1 of the regulation.
Article according to Reach: An article is an object which is given a special shape, surface or design, which is of greater importance than is the chemical composition. (Reach, Article 3 (3)).
Our fibres are made for a wide range of applications. From one basic fibre, we produce for example short cut fibres, milled fibres and fibrids. For the final application, the criteria such as the geometric shape, length, surface and fibre type are more important for the use of the fibre, than is the chemical composition.
